Usarlo è semplicissimo: basterà connettere il cavo alla presa accendisigari 12V DIN 4165 della moto, quindi collegare il caricatore all’altra estremità.
In questo modo non sarà necessario raggiungere la batteria del veicolo né installare alcun ulteriore cablaggio alla batteria.
Per la connessione alla presa DIN.4165 di moto BMW, è necessario utilizzare un caricabatteria compatibile con il sistema CAN-Bus, come BC K900 EDGE o BC K900 EVO+.

Solitamente la presa accendisigari di un veicolo viene utilizzata come uscita (output) di corrente, ma può essere sfruttata anche come ingresso (input) per la carica: è sufficiente verificare che la presa 12V non sia sottochiave (cioè che sia alimentata anche a chiave disinserita e quadro comandi spento).
